About the position:
Internship ELS Instructors (3- and 6-month Appointments)
Candidates joining the this school’s Academic Internship Programme will experience the full works of teaching and running an internationally accredited language centre. This internship is a full-time programme (Mondays-Fridays) and some Saturdays when additional student activities or trips are organised.
They will participate as an active facilitator in the school’s programmes by engaging and interacting with groups of ELS students to enhance their communicative (mostly speaking) ability and confidence. Interns will also play a vital role in coordinating and ensuring the students’ positive learning experience by creating opportunities to use the English language in everyday settings.
Interns will be guided by trained and experienced teachers who will provide an orientation to the role and supervise them throughout their tenure. Interns will also be trained on how to teach English online – understanding the tools, strategies and pedagogy behind one of the latest education trends in the 21st century. Upon their return home at the end of the Programme, they can then be part of an online faculty run by an associate company that pays for teachers to teach English to international students worldwide.
Aside from the wealth of knowledge and experience an intern will gain from this Programme, they can experience the joy of living in one of the most culturally-rich nations of Southeast Asia.
Who can participate?
This programme is open to university students or graduates with a qualification relating to the teaching of English (TESOL/TEFL/TESL) and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
Suitable for gap years or those taking a year off their studies, career breakers, anyone interested in teaching or working with International students overseas, teaching projects abroad, or study abroad.
Also available as a summer/winter placement in Malaysia, short breaks or
for those wanting to gain some TEFL experience.
